“The group aspect was the most meaningful part. It allowed for me to feel validated, to know that I am not alone, and to use others’ experiences to better understand and accept my own.” – Hamm Clinic Client
Group therapy services provide a powerful opportunity for clients to find a community of support alongside effective interventions for the treatment of mental health concerns. We continue to grow the breadth of group services seeing this as a vital part of our model of care, as we recognize the importance of healing and recovery as a collective. We continue to offer a variety of weekly groups to address various mental health needs, and are thrilled to be launching a group for Health Professionals in the coming weeks!
Our group therapy for Health Professionals will address the unique needs of our frontline workers who have been providing in-person care throughout the pandemic – from doctors and nurses, to EMTs and firefighters, to other mental health and social service professionals. This group will focus on addressing the grief, secondary trauma, and moral injury of being a frontline worker 18 months into a global pandemic. Our Health Professionals have been tirelessly delivering critical services during the pandemic, and at Hamm Clinic we are determined to provide the care and healing they need in return.
