With fall 2023 fast approaching Hamm clinic is now reaching staffing levels not seen since prior to the pandemic. As of mid-August, Hamm is now scheduling new clients for fall appointment slots. Hamm’s Clinical Training Programming is as big a focus as ever. This fall Hamm will have a total of 12 clinical trainees joining us from 4 different professional disciplines including the addition of master’s in clinical counseling students for the first time. Hamm is planning a relaunch of Psychological Testing programming in late fall and our recently funded grant project with the Department of Human Services is working to advance Culturally and Linguistically Appropriate Services (CLAS) at Hamm.
Hamm is hosting a fun event as the start of fall begins. On Friday September 8th, 2023, Hamm is hosting a community fundraising event: The Hamm Clinic Dog Show Fundraiser. This fun event is free and family friendly. With the event Hamm expects to connect with its community of Hamm supporters but also add new friends to an expanding network of supporters. The venue for this event is Wabasha Brewing, Hamm’s new neighbor near the new clinic location. Wabasha is donating a dollar from every beverage sale to Hamm Clinic. Food trucks will be onsite. The dog show portion of the evening begins at 5:30 but the venue opens at 4pm. Recruitment of dog competitors, event volunteers, event sponsors, and the procuring of silent auction items is underway now. Supporters can cast their contribution/vote for the dog they consider “Best in Show”.
Hamm hopes to raise support for its mission promoting mental health with culturally responsive, relational care, especially for those facing financial barriers.
The Website for the event is www.hammclinic.org/dogshow
