Brittany Adams (she/her/hers) is a clinical social work intern at Hamm Clinic. She is in her final year of the University of St. Thomas Master of Social Work program. Prior to pursuing her MSW, Brittany earned a bachelor’s degree in dance at Colorado State University and went on to perform and teach professionally for 10 years.

Brittany has worked for Park Nicollet as a Care Coordinator in the Behavioral Health department, supporting perinatal individuals and families. In her practice, Brittany draws from a person-centered lens and believes the context of the whole person is important to addressing life’s challenges and thriving. Brittany’s interests include working with individuals struggling with depression, anxiety and self-esteem, and she loves to bring body awareness into her practice.

Her career in dance showed Brittany the need for mental health support for athletes, artists and communities of all kinds. She led the positive body image campaign, “Take Back the Tutu,” for her company and organized corresponding health fairs. Through this work she has had the opportunity to collaborate with The Emily Program, Melrose Center, and many other organizations to create support networks for students and communities in the Twin Cities.

Brittany is excited to provide compassion and support to her clients at Hamm Clinic and looks forward to collaborating with clients on their goals in therapy. Outside of work and school, Brittany enjoys reading, playing with her dog, Carli, and watching scary movies.
