Bruce Field MD
Psychiatrist / PSIQUIATRA
Dr. Bruce Field is a part-time psychiatrist at Hamm Clinic. He studied medicine at Temple Medical School in Philadelphia and then trained in psychiatry at NYU Medical Center in New York City. He later studied psychotherapy at the Minnesota Institute of Contemporary Psychoanalysis and finished a certification program in refugee trauma and recovery through Harvard Medical School. He is board certified in the areas of general and addiction psychiatry.
His areas of interest include psychotherapy, cross-cultural psychiatry, refugee mental health, addiction, and trauma. He is devoted to working with disenfranchised and underserved communities in the Twin Cities. Over the years, he has worked at Catholic Charities, La Familia Guidance Center, La Clinica, the Center for International Health, Wilder South-East Asian Program, the Center for Victims of Torture, the Veterans Medical Center, Avivo, and in private practice. In order to better serve Latinx patients he saw at La Familia and La Clinica years ago, he started learning Spanish, and he has continued to be a passionate student of the language.

El doctor Bruce Field trabaja en Hamm Clinic como psiquiatra a tiempo parcial. El Dr. Field estudió medicina en Temple Medical School en Filadelfia y se especializó en psiquiatría en NYU Medical Center en Nueva York. Janet Finlayson PsyD, LP
Psychologist
Janet Finlayson, PsyD, is a contract therapist at Hamm Clinic. She received her doctorate of psychology from Saint Mary’s University and holds a master’s degree in clinical counseling. She provides individual and group therapy as well as psychological evaluations and assessment. Janet has over 15 years of experience in psychotherapy, crisis intervention, case management, and client advocacy. She provides client centered, strength based, and culturally responsive trauma-informed psychotherapy. She is skilled at working collaboratively with clients in improving overall mental health which includes proper diagnosis, symptom reduction, psychoeducation, and skill building. She is also well trained in providing a positive, supportive environment for self-exploration leading to greater self-awareness and overall improved wellness. She works collaboratively with clients and believes each client is the expert on their own life and life experiences.
