Scott Labott , MSW, LGSW
Therapist
Scott Labott (he/him) is a licensed social worker who believes that healing begins when people feel deeply understood and accepted. Together, you and Scott will identify what you are feeling, where the pain comes from, and how you would like to change. Your life and the unique combination of experiences, people, and communities to which you belong also inform this process.
Scott works with you to flexibly integrate the right approaches to meet your needs. He employs his clinical training to collaboratively relieve the anxiety, depression, anger, fear, and shame that cause distress. Scott uses a modern, relational psychodynamic approach while also drawing from other schools of thought. Scott is also trained in Narrative Exposure Therapy, a trauma treatment. People typically describe Scott as warm, affirming, and engaging.
Over time, Scott has worked in a variety of settings, including family housing in Vermont and community organizing in Milwaukee, WI. He received his bachelor’s degree in history and his Master of Social Work from the University of Minnesota.
Scott loves being in nature and has hiked over 2000 miles on the Appalachian Trail. Scott also loves to travel and learn new things. He lives in (and loves) Saint Paul.
