Caroline Tranchell , MSW, LGSW, LADC
Caroline Tranchell (she/her) is a licensed (LGSW) psychotherapist at Hamm Clinic. She holds a deep belief in the healing power of relationships and believes that change is possible. As a therapist, Caroline focuses on attunement to clients as they explore their emotions, how the past might inform the present, and how people can move toward safety, healing, and alignment with themselves.
Caroline aims to provide compassionate, trauma-informed care and is dedicated to offering therapy through an anti-oppressive lens, participating in her own reflective practice of challenging the societal systems that impede people’s abilities to embrace dignity, ease, beauty, and joy. She practices from a relational psychodynamic approach, incorporating other frameworks that center disability, gender, racial, and sexual justice.
Caroline knows that engaging in therapy is vulnerable work. She strives to meet you with warmth, nonjudgment, and sincerity, welcoming you as you are. She enjoys working with individuals, couples, and groups seeking support with a wide variety of diagnoses and concerns. Caroline is open to therapy taking many forms, such as mindfulness, artwork, or practices for embodied living. She is also trained in Narrative Exposure Therapy for trauma treatment.
