David Yanagita , MSW, LGSW
David Yanagita (he/him) is a therapist at Hamm Clinic. He received his Master of Social Work from the University of Minnesota, specializing in Clinical Mental Health. David brings a range of experience, from working with youth development to supporting adults as they navigate life transitions in a university setting. A common thread throughout his career has been an attunement to social, cultural, and historical factors that shape a person’s daily experience.
David meets clients with warmth, curiosity, and compassion, and strives to provide an attuned connection to move towards what feels most meaningful to each client. He believes that therapy is a space where clients can explore the full range of their lived experience and healing journey in a safe, supportive, and collaborative relationship. David’s aim is to provide anti-oppressive and inclusive services, and he welcomes clients from all backgrounds, identities, and lived experiences.
