Elizabeth Lieske, MD (she/her/hers) is a third-year psychiatry resident in the Hennepin Healthcare-Regions program. She received her bachelor’s degree in psychology from Macalester College and her MD from the University of Minnesota Medical School. She is excited to take a break from her typical psychiatry work and continue growing as a therapist this year at Hamm Clinic. Elizabeth has had training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, psychodynamic therapy and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, and strives to integrate pieces of these approaches to meet clients where they’re at. She believes that each person is the expert on their own story, and that her role is to walk with clients as they explore these stories and uncover the tools to their healing. She aims to bring a warm, non-judgmental and non-assuming approach to the therapy space, while validating clients’ lived experiences and encouraging their self-acceptance and empowerment.
