Emily

Emily Vang (she/her) is a clinical trainee at Hamm Clinic. She is currently pursuing her doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology from Augsburg University. She received her bachelor’s degree in psychology from the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities. Emily’s education and experience have given her a deep appreciation for the significance of cultural context and individual lived experiences in therapy. She believes cultural humility, building a strong therapeutic relationship, and providing a safe, non-judgmental, and inclusive space for individuals to embrace their imperfections, self-exploration, and self-empowerment, is vital in therapy.

Emily has experience in neurocognitive assessment and has worked with clients who were experiencing a variety of mental health conditions, including anxiety, depression, obsessive-compulsive disorder, trauma, traumatic brain injuries, and more. Emily is interested in working with people working through anxiety, depression, ADHD, significant life transitions, trauma, and family and cultural conflicts, as well as many other concerns.
