Ivy Johnson (she/her/s) is a staff therapist who primarily provides individual and group therapy at Hamm Clinic. She received a bachelor’s degree in Family Social Science and a master’s degree in Social Work from the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities. Ivy completed a clinical social work fellowship at Hamm Clinic and has over four years of combined experience providing psychotherapy, groups facilitation, client advocacy, crisis intervention, and school social work. She believes that change and healing happen in relationships through collaboration, curiosity, compassion, and humility. She holds a non-judgmental and warm space for clients to share their stories as they feel ready. Ivy strives to integrate an anti-racist/anti-oppressive cultural lens into all client services and engages in continuous critical examination of her own identities.

Ivy has experience working with survivors of abuse, complex trauma, domestic violence, and family violence, as well as those processing through depression, anxiety, PTSD, relational and family conflict, grief, and loss. Ivy believes that no one heals in isolation and trauma thrives in silence. She is incredibly passionate about group work and believes in the power of healing through shared experiences. Ivy has training in Narrative Exposure Therapy, Contemporary Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy, and Trauma-Responsive interventions. She welcomes all gender identities, racial identities, religions, sexual orientations, and ages to her practice.
