Kaitlyn Dale (she/her/hers) is a psychology intern at Hamm Clinic. She is in her final year of completing her PhD in Counseling from Colorado State University. Kaitlyn has experience providing psychotherapy, groups facilitation, crisis intervention, psychological evaluation, and clinical supervision across a variety of treatment settings including several interdisciplinary community mental health clinics. Her line of research focuses on helping individuals learn how to self-reflect on their experiences to further develop their sense of identity, calling, and meaning in life.

In her therapeutic work, Kaitlyn brings a warm, nonjudgmental, and collaborative approach. As her clients begin to connect with their emotions and needs and accept themselves for who they are, they further cultivate growth-fostering relationships that support their ability to live wholehearted and purpose-driven lives. Throughout this process, Kaitlyn pays specific attention to exploring and validating how individual’s relational style and distress is perpetuated within sociocultural context, oppression, and conditioning. Her approach to therapy demonstrates clear and consistent themes of self-acceptance, self-compassion, personal empowerment, vulnerability tolerance, and relational resilience.

Kaitlyn welcomes all gender identities, racial identities, religions, sexual orientations, and ages. She is especially interested in working with individuals navigating difficult life-transitions and identity-related issues. She has specialized training working with older adults and their caregivers and welcomes these folks as well.
