Kyle Murray , MSW, LICSW
Kyle Murray (she/her/hers) is a staff therapist at Hamm Clinic who primarily provides individual and group therapy. Kyle serves as a coordinator for the Training Program at Hamm. She earned a Master’s Degree in Clinical Social Work from University of St. Thomas/St. Catherine University (St. Paul, MN); she has BA in Sociology and French from Westmont College (Santa Barbara, CA).
Kyle brings an integrative, relational, collaborative, narrative, and whole person care approach to clinical work. She aims to create a warm, welcoming, non-judgmental and compassionate environment. She believes you are the expert on your life, and knows it takes courage and time to tell your story. She believes change, healing, and growth are possible through an authentic relationship with a supportive therapist. Kyle strives to bring an anti-oppressive and ecological (person-in-environment) approach to her work. Kyle has special interest in: grief, loss, and life transitions, end of life care, poetry therapy, spirituality, mindfulness, and the connections between the body and emotions. Kyle has training in: Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction, Motivational Interviewing, Introductory Level Workshops in Clinical Hypnosis, and Trauma Treatment Interventions.
