Clinical Social Work Internship
The clinical social work internship focuses on provision of outpatient services, including diagnostic assessment, treatment planning, and individual and group psychotherapy. Applications are accepted from students including students from local universities such as:
- Augsburg University
- St. Catherine University
- St. Mary’s University
- University of Minnesota
- University of St. Thomas
Learning is supported through:
- Hamm Clinic’s weekly seminar series
- One hour weekly of individual supervision by a social work clinical supervisor
- One hour of weekly team consultation
- Monthly clinical team meetings
- Various topic-specific drop-in consult groups
The clinical social work internship is a 9-month commitment with 16-20 hours per week devoted to clinic services and learning activities. Specific expectations regarding time and training content must be approved by Hamm Clinic, the student, and their university.
