Psychodynamic Training Collaboration

In 2020, the Minnesota Institute for Contemporary Psychotherapy and Psychoanalysis (MICPP) co-located with Hamm Clinic in St. Paul. MICPP is a leading provider of psychodynamic training for post-graduate therapists.
Through this collaboration, MICPP scholars office at Hamm Clinic in downtown St. Paul. In return, the clinic’s post-doctoral fellows can audit MICPP classes free of charge, and staff members can participate in continuing education opportunities for a reduced fee.
When the partnership was announced, Hamm Clinic’s Executive Director Angela Lewis-Dmello, MSW, LICSW, stated, “Both Hamm Clinic and MICPP are dedicated to increasing our presence in the psychodynamic and mental health communities. Co-locating helps reestablish our commitment to relational psychodynamic practice, while giving MICPP a St. Paul home.”
The two organizations will collaborate on an annual joint conference, enhance specialized training for post-doctoral psychology students, offer incentives for staff/trainee recruitment and retention, and serve clients in need of free or low-cost clinical mental health care.
